This is an opportunity to be part of a fun and dynamic team, who have been part of a digital transformation. The ‘Direct to Consumer’ department has grown significantly over the past few years, evolving Samsung.com from a traditional brochure-ware site into a fully-fledged e-Commerce site. Your role will be in the dotcom team, which sits within the wider Direct to Consumer department. You will benefit from being close to the core customer data and all elements of the customer experience.
Our focus in this team is to grow our ‘closed user group’ (CUG) websites. These consist of various websites that offer discounted pricing for select audiences, including students, key workers, professionals etc. These sites sit separately from the main Samsung.com site and need to be regularly maintained and optimised to surface our competitive pricing and offers, and ensure the best possible user experience. While this role will mainly focus on CUG sites, you may also need to support on mainsite, App & B2B sites.
The successful candidate will need to work very closely with the marketing and commercial teams to understand the changing business priorities. This will involve non-stop conversations about trading priorities, product launches and promotional and brand campaigns. Constantly thinking about how we can best position our products to increase traffic, conversion rate, average order value and sales.
Role and Responsibilities- Supporting the “Closed User Group” workstream, by briefing updates and merchandising offers across various categories including Mobile, TV and Home Appliances.
- Supporting on additional projects and initiatives across the Onsite team, for example, the Student Shop App, B2B site, retail store websites, partner websites or even mainsite.
- Work directly with marketing and commercial teams, to understand all upcoming campaigns, offers and business priorities.
- Support with website merchandising for key campaigns, including product launches, campaigns, promotions and customer journey improvements, to help drive key KPIs.
- Build and develop relationships with agency teams, to ensure briefs are clear and work is executed on time, to a high standard.
- Share data insights with key stakeholders, to regularly inform them of site funnel and campaign performance, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Occasionally use content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager, Hybris etc.) to make merchandising updates on key web pages.
- Complete quality assurance testing on site updates to ensure content and functionality is accurate and working as intended.
- Work with support teams to raise tickets and resolve site issues and bugs.
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a digital business, ideally within a large, multinational ecommerce business.
- Experience using content management systems (i.e. Adobe Experience Manager) would be preferred, but not essential.
- Some digital project management experience desired but not required.
- Some merchandising experience would be preferred, but not essential.
- Experience briefing website content updates, and working with agency publishers, designers and developers.
- Some experience planning and delivering digital marketing campaigns, launching new products to market across digital touchpoints.
- Some experience of having delivered consumer-centric, data driven marketing activities at scale and speed.
- Some experience in managing Agency Partners or delivery teams, and ideally leading virtual teams/workstreams to deliver against a shared objective.
- Outstanding communication & organisational skills enabling you to work effectively with stakeholders across our business as well as with external agencies.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Some experience presenting to senior stakeholders would be useful.
- Some experience understanding and translating data (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) to measure performance and gain insights.
- Candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and demonstrates strong abilities in identifying and resolving problems. They must be able to communicate effectively with different personality types, and be confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
- In the first 6-12 months of this role, you should be self-sufficient enough to take ownership of your projects and work independently.
- Success will be measured by how well you maintain relationships and communication between teams, efficient briefing to agencies, speed and accuracy of website execution, and positive business KPIs, i.e. website performance.
- Your daily/weekly activities will include joining weekly trading meetings, stand ups with agencies, briefing website merchandising and optimisations, analysing performance data and communicating with stakeholders.
