The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Gas Engineer to join our expanding team. This role will primarily focus on remedial work across the UK, with a strong emphasis on maintaining and optimising Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to transition into or further develop within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out remedial works on existing heating systems, including fault finding and repairs
  • Service, maintain, and optimise ASHP installations
  • Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently to ensure high system performance
  • Conduct system checks and ensure installations meet industry standards and regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Complete job reports, documentation, and compliance records accurately
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions
  • Travel across the UK as required to support project and maintenance needs

Requirements

  • Valid Gas Safe registration (essential)
  • Proven experience in domestic and/or commercial gas engineering
  • Experience or strong interest in renewable technologies, particularly ASHP systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

Desirable

  • Experience working with heat pumps or renewable heating systems
  • Relevant qualifications in low-carbon technologies (e.g., Heat Pump installation/maintenance)
  • Electrical knowledge or qualifications
  • Experience working on large-scale residential or commercial projects
