Senior Product Manager - Safety AI

About the role: We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to help us take one of our largest and fastest-growing businesses - Video-based Safety - to the next level. Safety is a core reason why customers choose Samsara. The features this team builds identify driving risks, provide programmatic access to Samsara’s safety data, and surface risky events to our customers, enabling them to manage events with minimal time and resources.

Our team is at the forefront of utilising artificial intelligence and diagnostic data to meet our customers' safety needs. Since launching our AI dash cameras in 2019, we’ve consistently heard from customers about the critical role AI capabilities play in their purchasing decisions.

In this role, you will:

• Identify, design and take to market innovative solutions and features in collaboration with Design, Engineering and Marketing.
• Operate in an ‘AI-first’ mindset, utilising the trillions of data points available to build impactful products.
• Be the driving force behind a major product area, shaping its roadmap and owning its success.
• Possess a bold vision for the future of our products, while also being comfortable diving into the details and driving execution.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of our customers' operations, actively seeking feedback, and embody an entrepreneurial spirit, rapidly iterating and innovating to deliver value.
• Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development, adapting and evolving your approach as you progress through your career at Samsara.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• 5+ years in a product management role.
• History of successfully launching and scaling innovative products.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science preferred. MS, PhD, or MBA also preferred.
• Strong technical understanding, ability to establish credibility with engineers.
• Knack for gleaning customer insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
• Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results.
• Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences.
• Ability to drive teams of diverse backgrounds to ship features on aggressive timelines.
