About the role:
In Samsara’s IT team, we work to deliver awesome systems, support, and experiences that enable our teams to be as impactful as possible. As a member of the IT Services team, you’ll be responsible for owning the technology and processes that enable our people to do their best work. In this role, you will be required to work Pacific Timezone, between 8:30AM to 5:30PM PT. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada only. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
In this role, you will:
- Administer, manage, and enhance JIRA and Confluence instances, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Develop and manage complex JIRA workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Own our JIRA scale strategy and drive initiatives there.
- Provide training and support to JIRA and Confluence users, ensuring best practices in bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management.
- Integrate JIRA projects with other tools and software to create a seamless workflow.
- Maintain system security, stability, and access controls.
- Perform upgrades, migrations, and plugin installations, managing them from start to finish.
- Analyze and improve performance metrics to ensure scalability and effectiveness.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Seek opportunities to improve how we work with an eye on continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Drive core operations that keep the company secure and productive.

Minimum requirements for the role:
- A college degree in a technical program (Computer Science, Information Systems, or other STEM field).
- 5+ years experience working as an Atlassian Admin.
- Strong spoken and written language skills.
- A passion for learning and doing new things in a fast-paced environment.
- An affinity for working with all things electronic.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Knowledge of Apple products (Macbooks, iPhones, etc).
- Project management experience.
- Process analysis experience.
- Software programming or scripting ability.
Salary and total rewards:
The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Annual Base Salary: $88,825 — $104,500 CAD
