Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Position Summary:
- Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware and using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Maintains merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies received from distribution centres and suppliers, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high shrink merchandise.
- Maintains the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, utilising equipment to perform a variety of merchandising functions, identifying shrink and damages, ensuring a safe work environment, and completing required paperwork and logs.
- Monitors and resolves problems in the prescription fulfilment process when necessary by processing information for third-party insurance claims, alerting patients to inventory that is out of stock, and identifying situations requiring pharmacist action.
- Promotes and maintains the Pharmacy's professional reputation and provides patients with pharmacy products and services in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and corporate policies.
- Provides patient service in the Pharmacy area by acknowledging members, initiating the prescription fulfilment process, creating prescription orders, resolving member issues, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
- Enters prescription data into pharmacy software by reading prescriptions and transcribing appropriate prescription data.
- Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medication, and operating scanning equipment to ensure prescription accuracy.
- Provides member assistance during prescription pickup by verifying and entering patient information according to corporate policies.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Respects the individual by embracing differences in people and creating a workplace where associates feel seen and supported.
- Acts with integrity by maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
