Overview
Our client is looking for a talented Production Manager. Based in a modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility in East Sussex, this role will take responsibility for managing and delivering all aspects of production. You\\\’ll work closely with Production Planning, Purchasing, Engineering and Sales to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and to specification.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Production: CNC machining, UHV cleaning, assembly, QC, and logistics
- Lead and support Production staff and Cell Leaders to achieve quality, delivery, and efficiency targets
- Oversee execution of production schedules to meet customer requirements
- Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and controls
- Establish and maintain up-to-date process documentation
- Manage and motivate staff, setting clear expectations and performance criteria
- Work with H&S to ensure compliance with all safety policies
Experience and Requirements
- Essential:
- An engineering degree and 10+ years\\\’ experience
- 5+ years\\\’ management/leadership experience in manufacturing with operational responsibility
- 5+ years\\\’ experience in precision parts production (CNC machining, turning, milling, assembly)
- Practical assembly techniques knowledge
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean processes/tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Desirable:
- Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing tools experience
- Broad knowledge of modern manufacturing methods
- Cross-functional business team and production planning experience
