We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join a logistics operation based in Manchester. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced driver who is comfortable with multiple-drop deliveries, manual handling and rotating day and night shifts. Alongside driving responsibilities, you will also support the wider warehouse and logistics operation when required. What’s on Offer Job type: Full-time, permanent Hours: 45 hours per week across 5 working days. Alternative days and nights plus OT Location: Manchester Salary: £40,000 per annum, plus £24 overnight allowance per night Key Responsibilities Delivering customer orders in line with schedules and customer requirements Completing multiple-drop deliveries, typically around 12–15 drops per day Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out handballing and breaking down palletised deliveries when required Packing and loading vehicles safely and efficiently Ensuring vehicles and loads remain safe, secure and roadworthy Completing all relevant delivery and warehouse administration Supporting warehouse operations and working closely with the logistics team Operating FLT equipment where appropriately trained Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety within warehouse and fleet environments Completing overnight runs and early morning starts as required Skills, Experience and Other Requirements: Valid UK Class 1 driving licence Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Class role Previous manual handling experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Good IT and database skills Physically and mentally capable of undertaking manual and mechanical work Flexible approach to working days, nights and overnight runs Forklift Truck licence or experience would be beneficial, although training can be provided How to Apply This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business.
