Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team for an immediate start. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to support a busy finance function during a key period. The position is initially expected to last around 6 months, with flexibility around working hours and hybrid working. This role would suit someone confident working across accounts receivable and credit control, with strong Excel skills and a methodical, detail-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
- Carry out credit control activities and follow up outstanding balances
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and update ledgers
- Use Excel to manage data, reports, and reconciliations
- Support month-end finance tasks as required
- Liaise professionally with internal teams and external contacts
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Strong background in accounts receivable
- Experience with credit control
- Confident completing reconciliations
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- AAT qualification (or working towards) desirable
