We are recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a busy and supportive team.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing high-quality results and thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment.
You'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs and general workshop duties, ensuring equipment is prepared to a high standard and ready for use.
This is a varied position where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to develop your skills while working as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on a range of equipment.
Complete workshop tasks safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Undertake basic fabrication and welding where required.
Prepare equipment, including painting and finishing work.
Complete relevant paperwork and update computer-based records.
Follow daily work schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
Operate workshop equipment safely and in accordance with procedures.
Carry out inspections and quality checks.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Support colleagues and assist with additional workshop duties as required.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, engineering or maintenance environment.
Basic welding or fabrication experience is advantageous.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for completing records and documentation.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is preferred.
