This role sits within their Facilities and Engineering Department, which plays a vital part in ensuring smooth operations across state-of-the-art warehouses and office facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Facilities and Engineering Manager in maximising uptime of automated warehouse systems
Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with OEM standards
Diagnose and resolve faults across automation hardware, software, sensors, motors and control systems
Collaborate with suppliers to address root causes and implement preventative measures
Act as first response to equipment or process malfunctions, ensuring swift resolution
Accurately record maintenance, repairs, and spares usage using CMMS systems
Track and report on defects, repair times, root causes and associated costs
Facilities Management/Maintenance:
Support operation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, fire protection, access control and security
Conduct compliance checks and maintain accurate documentation
Manage and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for all on-site works
Assist with scheduled maintenance outside of operational hours (approx. four Saturdays per year and occasional late shifts)
Qualifications & Skills:
Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 (preferred, not essential)
Practical mechanical and/or electrical experience
Strong problem-solving ability with a pragmatic approach
Ambition to learn and develop engineering skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Dependable, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Strong IT proficiency (Word, Excel)
Well-organised with solid record-keeping/documentation abilities
Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety in a warehouse environment
