We are currently seeking a Digital and Marketing Communications Officer to join a busy communications and engagement team within Sussex Police. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team, helping to deliver content, communications, and public engagement activity across a range of platforms. The successful candidate will work alongside another communications officer supporting senior leadership and the wider organisation with digital communications and engagement needs. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment, reporting directly to the Head of Communications and Public Engagement.

  • Location: Lewes, East Sussex
  • Salary: £21.50 per hour
  • Job Type: Full-time, fixed term contract with hybrid working available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of digital communications and social media activity across multiple platforms
  • Create engaging and informative content for online channels and public engagement campaigns
  • Assist in promoting organisational campaigns, projects, and initiatives through digital media
  • Attend events and engagement activities when required
  • Work closely with the wider communications and engagement team to support ongoing projects
  • Monitor and respond to digital communications where appropriate
  • Ensure communications remain professional, accessible, and in line with organisational standards
  • Support community engagement and help maintain a positive online presence
