We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Battle for an experienced Yard Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This Yard Operative role is focused on goods in and goods out operations within a busy yard environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day goods in/out activity, ensuring the yard runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This is a hands-on position where you will be trusted to manage your own workload across goods in, goods out, stock movement, and general yard duties with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily Yard Operative duties
- Loading and unloading goods in/out safely and accurately
- Operating a counterbalance forklift within the yard (essential)
- Organising goods in/out stock and ensuring all movements are recorded correctly
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised yard at all times
- Supporting wider yard operations as required
- Taking ownership of Yard Operative responsibilities with minimal supervision
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Yard Operative (essential)
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Strong experience in goods in and goods out operations
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Strong awareness of yard health and safety procedures
- Positive, proactive approach
- Able to take ownership of the yard
- Must have own safety boots (mandatory)
