Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver in Aldershot

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative / Reach Truck Driver to join our client’s busy logistics team. In this role, you will play a key part in the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse, with a strong focus on Reach Truck and forklift operation. You will be responsible for loading and unloading deliveries, moving and storing stock, replenishing locations and supporting goods-in and goods-out activities. The ideal candidate will have solid warehouse experience, a valid Reach Truck licence and a strong focus on safety and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Reach Truck to move, load, unload and store goods throughout the warehouse Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries using the Reach Truck Put away stock into designated warehouse locations, making efficient use of available storage space Replenish stock locations, racking, trays and bins as required Accurately pick and move components and stock for internal teams and outbound orders Prepare goods for despatch, ensuring orders are correctly picked, packed and documented Check incoming deliveries against paperwork, identifying any damaged, missing or incorrect items Carry out stock movements and support regular inventory counts to maintain stock accuracy Undertake banksman duties, helping to safely coordinate vehicle and forklift movements around the warehouse Ensure safe pedestrian management when operating forklifts and moving goods Assist with general goods-in and goods-out activities, including collections, returns and outbound shipments Complete basic warehouse administration including manifests, stock transfers, barcoding and related paperwork Carry out routine checks of forklifts, pallet trucks, racking and other warehouse equipment, reporting any issues Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment and follow all relevant health and safety proceduresSkills & Experience Previous experience operating a Reach Truck in a busy warehouse environment Valid Reach Truck Forklift Licence is essential Confident and competent operating a Reach Truck in warehouse and racking environments Experience loading and unloading deliveries and safely moving stock around a warehouse Experience with stock put-away, replenishment and inventory movements Banksman training or experience would be advantageous Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures Strong awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety when operating forklifts Good attention to detail when handling stock, picking orders and checking deliveries Comfortable using warehouse systems and basic IT applications Good numerical and organisational skills Physically capable of moving boxes and equipment weighing up to 20kg Able to work independently and manage your workload in a busy environment Reliable, adaptable and safety-conscious Good communication skills and a positive attitude Strong team player with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and serviceThis role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reach Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative to take on a varied position where forklift operation is a key part of the day-to-day role.
