Full-time permanent role | Hybrid – St Albans and homeworking
What you’ll do:
- Provide expert guidance on all aspects of employment law, including contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and day‑to‑day HR queries.
- Represent clients in employment disputes and tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and redundancy disputes.
- Guide clients through large‑scale restructuring, TUPE transfers, and workforce planning for corporate clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, HR professionals, and senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor on complex issues.
- Contribute to the growth of the Employment team through networking, thought leadership, and developing new client opportunities.
About you:
- Experienced lawyer with ideally 10+ years post‑qualification experience.
- Strong technical expertise in employment law (both contentious and non‑contentious).
- Proven track record of handling complex tribunal litigation and advisory work.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and referrers, with evidence of generating work and a client following.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
- Exceptional communication skills (written & oral), capable of interacting with clients, experts, and counsel.
- Clear expectations and open communication for performance feedback.
