Role Summary
The Field Research Executive will support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of consumer research projects. Working closely with internal teams, interviewers, supervisors, and clients, the role ensures that fieldwork is conducted efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
Main Duties
- Collaborate with colleagues to set up and deliver consumer tests, ensuring all documented Project Management procedures are followed.
- Act as a first point of contact for interviewers and supervisors, responding to day‑to‑day queries and providing timely guidance and support via telephone and email.
- Provide regular and accurate updates on survey progress and completion using Red Jade and other designated research platforms.
- Take responsibility for the handling and storage of samples, ensuring full compliance with company procedures.
- Prepare all fieldwork documentation, materials, and equipment accurately and within required timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Project Support
- Support colleagues across all aspects of project delivery, ensuring adherence to documented Project Management procedures.
- Organise and coordinate project logistics, including booking Field teams, venues, equipment, IT resources, couriers, and participant incentives.
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries from research participants and the field workforce.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project records, including regular updates in Red Jade and proficient use of Excel.
- Fieldwork & Materials Management
- Receive product samples, complete associated documentation, and coordinate distribution.
- Prepare field materials, including questionnaires, quotas, appointment schedules, instructions, rotations, respondent lists, and pay claims.
- Enter and maintain interviewer and supplier details on Field Plus and ESPM databases.
- Packing and unpacking equipment and paperwork from Field locations, ensuring all items are accounted for, clean, and fully operational.
- Attend fieldwork sessions as required, supporting interviewers to ensure smooth and effective delivery.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all quality control procedures are followed in line with ISO standards and SAM Research expectations.
- Order cash and voucher incentives and ensure accurate reconciliation following each project.
- Personal Responsibilities
- Carry out all duties in accordance with the ethos, values, and company policies of SAM Sensory and Consumer Research UK Limited.
- Contribute positively to the growth and profitability of the business through high‑quality work, effective communication, and strong collaboration with colleagues, the Field workforce, and clients.
Required Competencies
- Graduate level qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment with time sensitive deadlines.
