We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quality Engineer to join our aerospace team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a highly regulated industry. You will support the implementation of quality systems, ensure compliance with aerospace standards, and contribute to maintaining the highest levels of product integrity and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards
- Assist in conducting internal audits, inspections, and compliance checks
- Investigate non-conformances (NCRs) and support root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues
- Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support supplier quality activities, including audits and performance monitoring
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for compliance
- Assist in collecting and analysing quality data to drive continuous improvement
- Participate in customer and regulatory audits
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Essential: Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Desirable: Knowledge of quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Lean, Six Sigma)
- Internship or placement experience in aerospace or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of technical drawings and GD&T
- Exposure to ERP or quality management systems
