KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preventative & Reactive Maintenance:
- Implement and maintain a planned servicing and preventative maintenance program across the site.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently while considering production schedules.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery.
- Identify and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Assess whether repairs can be completed in-house or if replacement is necessary, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Lead to source necessary materials from approved suppliers at the best price.
- Keep production cell leaders informed of repair progress and estimated completion times.
- Communicate effectively with the Production Manager regarding major equipment failures and required downtime for maintenance.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and assist in implementing company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate servicing and maintenance records.
- Manage coolant supply to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Flexibility & Continuous Improvement:
- Be available for overtime when required to maximize equipment uptime.
- Continuously look for ways to improve maintenance processes and reduce machine downtime.
- Perform additional tasks as required, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Production Manager.
