We are looking for a compassionate and energetic individual to join our team and provide personal care and support in a family home for a visually impaired young adult who uses a wheelchair and has complex health needs, including severe neuro-disability, hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, and spastic quadriplegia. This is a rewarding role that will see you assisting with a range of tasks, from personal care and repositioning to operating respiratory equipment and ensuring the safety and well-being of the client. You will work closely with the client and their family, providing both physical and emotional support in a home environment.

Complex care experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided, including manual handling and hoist transfers. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate, reliable, and ready to make a real difference in the life of a young person and their family. A car driver is strongly preferred due to the location of the role.

Here at Salvere Support, we support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person-centred care to really make a difference in our clients' lives. You'll only be working with one client, which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day.

The hours: 16 hours per week (Friday and Sunday 8am-4pm).

In return, Salvere Support offers:

  • A competitive rate of pay (£13.89 per hour)
  • An Enhanced DBS paid for by us with update service
  • Full induction and ongoing support
  • Bespoke clinical training sessions
  • Additional pay for each online training course completed
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Pension Contributions

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training, and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis to keep your knowledge and skills current.

Who we are looking for:

  • You must be self-motivated, well-organised, chatty, reliable, and an excellent team player.
  • As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we're seeking Care/Support workers with previous complex care experience.
  • Previous experience with respiratory equipment and observations is desirable but not essential.
  • You should also have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You must also have eligibility to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship.
