Join us at Salveo Care Ltd in Wendover to support residents as a Senior Healthcare Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Encourage residents to participate in physical, cognitive, spiritual and creative activities to promote wellness.
- Support the care team with tasks such as medication administration, new resident admissions and transfers of care.
- Lead and support the care team, ensuring excellent clinical practice and smooth floor operation; monitor care practices, identify and respond to changing resident needs; act as a role model and mentor.
- Update care plans regularly, collaborating to ensure residents’ needs are communicated effectively.
- Encourage residents to maintain independence while providing support to preserve autonomy.
- Ensure respectful and dignified treatment of all residents, preserving privacy and self‑esteem.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines, including infection control, maintaining accurate care documentation and communication across the team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication skills with elderly residents, families and care team.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 and/or relevant experience in medication administration, care planning and care delivery.
- Passion for wellness and a genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives.
