We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to support our Shop Manager and volunteer team in a charity shop. The role requires customer‑focused experience, a friendly and positive outlook, and a commitment to excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising throughout the shop.
- Assist customers throughout their visit, from entering the shop to completing their purchase.
- Actively promote and explain the benefits of Gift Aid and other promotions.
- Complete all company paperwork, including cashing up and banking procedures.
- Encourage and assist with the training of volunteers.
- Assist in the sorting and preparation of donated stock.
- Travel to other shops when required.
- Support the Shop Manager with best practice and Health and Safety procedures.
- Take responsibility for the daily running of the shop and management of volunteers in the Manager’s absence.
- Ensure personal behaviour reflects the company’s vision and values.
