We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to support our shop manager and team of volunteers in a charity retail shop.

Location / Hours

Permanent part‑time position: 7.5 hours per day, 1 day over 6, on a shift basis Monday‑Saturday. Salary £12.88 per hour. No evening or Sunday work.

Role Responsibilities

  • Help maintain high standards of visual merchandising throughout the shop
  • Assist customers throughout their visit, from entering the shop to completing their purchase
  • Actively promote and explain the benefits of Gift Aid and other promotions
  • Complete all company paperwork, including cashing up and banking procedures
  • Encourage and assist in the training of volunteers
  • Assist in sorting and preparation of donated stock
  • Travel to other shops within the cluster when required
  • Support the shop manager in health and safety procedures
  • Be responsible for the daily running of the shop and management of volunteers in the manager’s absence
  • Ensure personal behaviour reflects the company’s vision and values
