We are expanding our collection points and are looking for a friendly, self-motivated and reliable Driver to collect from clothing banks in the specified area on a daily basis.

You will collect donations of clothing from our clothing banks and bring them back to a designated storage site in your location.

You may also be required to deliver donated clothing to our retail charity shops.

This role involves an above-average amount of manual handling but also offers a degree of autonomy to manage daily working hours and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Collect donations of clothing from clothing banks in the specified area and transport them to a designated storage site.
  • Possibly deliver donated clothing to Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd retail charity shops.
  • Manage daily tasks with autonomy and maintain efficient working hours.
  • Adhere to safety and manual handling requirements during collections and deliveries.

Qualifications

  • A full and current driving licence
  • Manual handling experience (not essential)
  • Ability to physically lift and carry large amounts of donated clothing
  • Ability to work in challenging conditions
  • Knowledge of the local area
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of Salvation Army Trading Co Ltd
