E-commerce Support Volunteer at Salvation Army Trading Co. Ltd. in Airdrie, UK.

Do you have a creative flair and a passion for eBay? We're looking for volunteers to help identify items for sale online, take photographs and upload them to eBay for sale.

The ideal volunteer will have:

  • An interest in charity retail
  • Interest in vintage, collectable or pre-loved products
  • A willingness to help and make a difference
  • Be able to work with a team
  • A friendly and helpful nature
  • The ability to listen to and take instructions
  • A commitment to the ethos of The Salvation Army

Duties include:

  • Researcher – Items to be researched using eBay/Google lens etc., to see if they are worth listing on eBay or should be sold in the shop/Donation Centre.
  • Information gathering – You will collate the item information, such as item title, description, measurements etc.
  • Photography – Suitable and efficient equipment will be supplied for your role.
  • Lister – Input the photos and information into the software. Full training will be given.
  • Packer/Dispatcher – Follow up great customer service by wrapping, packing and applying a shipping label to complete the customer experience.

This role is an unpaid role but reasonable travel expenses will be paid in line with the volunteer expense policy, along with a 25% discount on all purchases. The time commitment for this role is flexible and will be agreed in advance with the charity Shop Manager.
