This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is attracted to covering occasional shifts on a casual basis at our Mildmay House service.
At Salvation Army Homes we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement. The Relief Support Worker will work with people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation.
As a Relief Support Worker you will need to:
- Get to know and build the trust of our clients
- Unlock our clients' potential to live independently
- Enhance their social integration by encouraging participation in social and leisure programmes
- Help residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living.

You will need to:
- Be a confident and capable communicator
- Be able to build trusting, professional relationships
- Be able to help people to develop their skills, strengths and talents
- Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups
- Ideally participate in our on-call rota as required, when engaged
