If so, Salvation Army Homes has an exciting opportunity for Customer Services Assistants to join our Customer Services team.

What you'll be doing

  • Handling customer enquiries via telephone.
  • Responding to emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assisting customers through web chat services.
  • Managing written correspondence and providing accurate information and advice.
  • Resolving enquiries at the first point of contact wherever possible, ensuring a high standard of customer service.

What you'll bring

  • Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations.
  • Be able to build trusting, professional relationships and have a high level of resilience.
  • Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
  • Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups.
  • Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid position based in Bolton, with 28 hours per week worked over five days, Monday to Friday, with flexible core working hours to support work-life balance. The postholder must be able to travel and work within Bolton.
