Exciting opportunity for a Project Worker based in Abbott Lodge, our supported housing service in Salford. Working in an environment that is dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement, you will work with people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation. Assessing needs, building trust, enabling and unlocking our clients' potential to live independently, you will need to get to know your clients, enhance their social integration and abilities by encouraging them to participate in social and leisure programmes, help residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living.

You will need to:

  • Be a confident and capable communicator
  • Be able to build trusting, professional relationships
  • Be able to help people to develop their skills, strengths and talents
  • Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups
  • Have a good idea of the wider community resources and organisations available to support our residents and be comfortable dealing with difficult or complex situations
