We're partnering with a high-trust technology consultancy delivering cutting‑edge AI solutions into highly sensitive government environments. We're looking for Mid or Senior level Engineers with a strong DevOps and infrastructure background to join a high-performing technical team working at the intersection of applied AI research and real-world mission delivery. This role sits across DevOps engineering, applied AI systems, and client advisory - ideal for someone who enjoys both building robust, scalable infrastructure and seeing it drive genuine operational impact.

The role:

  • Bridge the gap between cutting‑edge AI research and production‑ready infrastructure
  • Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration solutions in high‑security environments
  • Translate complex infrastructure concepts into clear, actionable insight for non‑technical stakeholders
  • Lead delivery of secure, high‑impact R&D and productisation projects
  • Mentor engineers and shape technical direction around DevOps best practice
  • Contribute to identifying and shaping future opportunities at the intersection of AI and infrastructure

What we're looking for:

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Docker and container orchestration (Docker Compose, Kubernetes or similar)
  • Solid Git workflow experience and familiarity with CI/CD tooling
  • Comfortable working in Python‑based environments alongside ML/AI teams
  • Experience productionising software - testing, deployment pipelines, monitoring and ongoing support
  • Exposure to RESTful API design and frameworks such as FastAPI a bonus
  • Exceptional communication skills - able to clearly explain infrastructure decisions to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • Comfortable operating in high‑security, high‑trust environments
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical and technical leadership capability

Why this role?

  • Work at the forefront of applied AI infrastructure in sensitive government domains
  • High‑impact projects with genuine national importance
  • Real technical autonomy and influence over architecture and deployment approach
  • Exposure to cutting‑edge AI research being translated into operational systems
