We're looking for a Big Data Engineer to join a high-performing technical team working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world mission delivery. This role sits at the intersection of AI research, applied engineering, and client advisory, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both deep technical work and real-world problem solving.
The role:
- Taking leadership of multiple terabytes of multi-source textual data
- Helping bridge the gap between state of the art research and operational impact
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insight for non-technical audiences
- Mentor engineers and shape technical direction
- Contribute to identifying and shaping future opportunities in Big Data within AI innovation
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience working with and processing large data sets
- Understanding of state of the art AI research and how to apply it in production systems
- Skilled in Python and associated technologies and tools within Big Data
- Experience of Knowledge Graphs is beneficial but not essential
- Exceptional communication skills - able to clearly explain complex ideas
- Comfortable operating in high-security, high-trust environments
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and technical leadership capability

Due to the nature of this role and associated security requirements, applicants must hold current SC security clearance and be open to obtaining DV.
