Requirements

  • I have extensive experience working within IT Security, particularly in a globally distributed IT environment.
  • I possess experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis.
  • I have a thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
  • I am knowledgeable about data protection operations and legislation (e.g., GDPR).
  • I demonstrate outstanding communication skills.
  • I can identify gaps in the team\’s knowledge and implement plans to close them.
  • I have knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • I excel in people management and interpersonal skills.
  • I have experience coaching and mentoring an IT Security team.
  • I am familiar with ISO 27001.
  • I have audit experience.

Responsibilities

  • I manage all aspects of the day–to–day operations of the IT Security team.
  • I am responsible for the IT security strategy.
  • I handle IT security incident response, investigation, reporting, and forensics.
  • I participate in IT security audits, representing the company as the audited party and performing IT security audits of other business units and third parties.

We are currently working with an industry–leading Marine Engineering and Fleet Management client to recruit for an IT Security Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a former military service leaver to join our organization and grow and develop within the department.
