About The Role

Ashleigh House is a 26-bed residential care home in Darlington supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health issues and complex care needs to live their best life! We support individuals to partake in group BBQ’s, weekly bingo and quiz nights! We also love organising coffee mornings and socialising. Some of the individuals we support visit day centres and get up to all sorts of activities, someone recently came home with a birdhouse he had made!

We have a very stable staff team, the fulfilment you get from working here is amazing, you get to support individuals and go home and feel you’ve achieved something great! We are a very dynamic team and always so positive, the service is very fun!

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality, enabling care, facing new challenges and rewards daily. Your leadership and expertise are key to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed, person-centered support plans that promote health, wellbeing, relationships, and diversity, while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Implement robust activity plans that encourage autonomy, new experiences, and flexibility, regularly engaging with individuals to seek their views.
  • Support individuals in financial planning, medication self-administration, and regular health reviews, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act principles.
  • Tailor the environment to meet individual needs, ensuring Health and Safety policies, including Fire Safety, are followed.
  • Recruit and manage staff through robust induction, supervision, and training processes, ensuring person-centered schedules and personal development plans.
  • Deliver outstanding care and support by adhering to Salutem's Quality Assurance framework, embodying core values, and managing incidents according to policies.
