About The Role

Job Title: FE Teacher

Reporting To: Lead tutor

Location: Blackpool

Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only

Salary: £30,666.96 – £35,126.96 per annum Term Time Only (£40,889.28 – £46,835.95 FTE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a highly differentiated, person-centred curriculum aligned to individual education outcomes, enabling learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure learners have equitable access to opportunities that prepare them for adulthood.
  • Design learning that enables measurable progress and achievement, maintaining robust evidence against EHCP outcomes through effective recording and reporting.
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality learning across creative and functional subjects for learners with complex cognition, learning and physical needs.
  • Identify and remove barriers to learning through consistent application of individual support plans, risk assessments and protocols.
  • Set and review ambitious long-term outcomes and SMART targets, monitoring progress through high-quality assessment and reporting.
  • Promote literacy, life skills and independence, ensuring learning is relevant and meaningful to each learner.
  • Embed therapeutic interventions and assistive technologies into learners programmes in a person-centred way.
  • Lead effective classroom management, deploying learning and support staff efficiently.
  • Plan and deliver enrichment activities, trips and visits in line with health, safety and safeguarding requirements.
  • Act as Personal Tutor for a designated caseload of students.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, staff development and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, safeguarding, health & safety and data protection requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required by college leadership.
