About The Company

Beaumont College South Lakes is a specialist further-education college that supports young people with a wide range of complex needs, offering highly personalised pathways that help each learner move confidently into adulthood. The college provides tailored programmes for students with sensory needs, creating environments and activities that support regulation, communication, and engagement. Learners with intentional pathways benefit from structured opportunities to build independence, develop decision-making skills, and take increasing ownership of their learning. For students with medical or high-dependency needs, the college offers integrated therapeutic and clinical support, ensuring they can access education safely and meaningfully. A key aspect of the provision is the need to support positive behaviour for post-16 students, helping them develop self-regulation, resilience, and social understanding. This focus enhances the overall college service by enabling learners to engage more fully in their education, build meaningful relationships, and prepare for successful transitions into adulthood. Staff often describe the college as an inspiring place to work because every day brings the chance to make a tangible difference — whether through enabling communication breakthroughs, supporting independence, promoting positive behaviour, or helping students access real-world experiences through community learning and supported internships. Its strong values, collaborative culture, and commitment to empowering young people make it a deeply rewarding environment for anyone passionate about SEND education.
