Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education, supporting adults and children in residential and educational environments across England and Wales. Based in idyllic grounds, Ingfield Manor School offers extensive specialist facilities to provide an exceptional learning environment, helping children and young people fulfil their potential. Facilities include woodland and outdoor classroom space, a high specification sensory room, and a swimming pool.

Our services aim to provide a safe and stimulating environment that enables children and young people to flourish and grow. Our Woodview provision is for secondary aged students with special educational needs, including speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC). This provision consists of 4 year groups, and we are looking for teachers to work across all year groups, predominantly in Year 8 and Year 10. Our IMS provision caters for students aged 3–19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.

Salary: £32,916 (M1) – £51,048 (UPS3), dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.50–8.00 hours per day
Contract: Term Time Only (39 weeks)
We are seeking a passionate and committed SEND Teacher to join Ingfield Manor School. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching and learning, leading a class team to meet the educational, pastoral, and therapeutic needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing and positive learning environment, implementing the school’s ethos and Conductive Education approach on a daily basis. Working closely with transdisciplinary professionals, families, and external agencies, you will support each child to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the school curriculum, schemes of work, and individual learning plans
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the strengths and needs of each pupil, ensuring all learners are supported to succeed
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress using a range of assessment strategies
- Provide holistic planning that reflects Conductive Education philosophies and individual pupil needs
- Maintain a high-quality learning environment that inspires and challenges learners
- Ensure effective use of resources and appropriate technologies to enhance learning
Student Progress & Reviews
- Track and evaluate progress towards individual targets
- Lead Annual Reviews and contribute to multi-agency meetings
- Provide clear, accurate reporting on pupil achievements and next steps
Whole-School Contribution
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of school policies and practices
- Play an active role in the wider life, culture, and ethos of the school
- Work collaboratively with the transdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes for all pupils
Team Leadership
- Lead, direct, and support classroom staff to deliver consistent, high-quality provision
- Provide guidance, advice, and training to support colleagues within the classroom
- Promote strong partnerships with parents/carers and stakeholders
Professional Development
- Keep up to date with developments in special education and educational practice
- Reflect on practice and engage in continuous professional development
- Demonstrate professionalism, resilience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach
Health, Safety & Safeguarding
- Promote the safety, wellbeing, and welfare of all pupils
