About The Role

We are seeking a highly technical, finance-led Business Intelligence Analyst for a six-month fixed term to develop financial reporting solutions, with a primary focus on extracting, modelling, and analysing data from Sage 200 into Power BI and the new Lakehouse.

Reporting To: Finance Director

Location: Head Office with national travel when required.

37.5 hours per week (6 month fixed term position) £40,000 per annum

Financial Systems & Data Integrity

  • Lead financial reporting through Power BI, ensuring accurate, consistent, and compliant data across systems.
  • Extract, validate, and reconcile data from Sage 200, maintaining alignment with statutory and management accounts.
  • Own data integrity between Sage 200, Power BI models, and published reports, ensuring structures meet accounting policies and group standards.

Power BI Development & Data Modelling

  • Design and maintain robust Power BI models, dashboards, and datasets.
  • Build advanced DAX measures to deliver margin analysis, KPIs, trends, and variance reporting.
  • Ensure scalable, high-performance reporting with strong governance, documentation, and row-level security.

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Enhance finance processes through automation and reduced reliance on spreadsheets.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting with scalable models and insightful outputs.

Multi-System Reporting

  • Collaborate with BI teams to integrate financial and operational data for end-to-end insights.
  • Define and standardise financial metrics across all reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with finance and operational leaders to translate business needs into BI solutions.
  • Provide guidance to non-finance users on interpreting dashboards and financial outputs.
