Our Supported Living Service in Dudley is recruiting! Sedgley Road is a specialist supported living service in Dudley consisting of 3 flats, providing support for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. They support individuals to achieve their personal goals and reach their full potential and to live wonderfully normal lives in the community and their own home.

The individuals they support include Martin. He loves to take regular trips to the local duck pond and loves to put his culinary skills to the test when baking! Other individuals they support love to take part in activities such as trips to the seaside, arts and crafts, celebrating birthdays with parties and cake and they love going pumpkin picking in October. They’re also partial to a Pizza Hut order!

At Sedgley Road, every day is an adventure, where you will be supporting individuals with complex needs to have a life as independent as possible, creating memories and fulfilling dreams.

As a Team Leader at Salutem, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our service, providing support to staff and delivering high-quality, enabling care to those we support. You will assist the deputy manager in ensuring regulatory compliance. You won't be alone in this; you'll lead a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers, with additional support from other departments and your Locality Manager will also be on hand to support you. This job role covers multiple sites and Positive Behaviour Support Experience is necessary. Drivers with access to a vehicle is preferred.

Key responsibilities:

  • Individual Outcome and Well-being: Ensure each individual has a detailed, person-centered support plan. Promote healthy lifestyles, manage risks, encourage relationships, and maintain compliance with the Health and Social Care Act.
  • Activity Planning: Develop flexible activity plans for each individual, incorporating opportunities for development, new experiences, and regular engagement through meetings and reviews.
  • Financial Support: Assist individuals in applying for benefits, managing finances, and ensuring proper budgeting through support plans.
  • Medication Management: Support individuals in self-administering medication, facilitate regular medication reviews, and ensure adherence to the Mental Capacity Act principles.
  • Accommodation and Environment: Oversee health and safety policies, ensure accessible environments tailored to individual needs, and maintain robust environmental risk assessments.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Recruit and support a team through induction, training, supervision, personal development plans, and regular team meetings. Ensure the service meets key performance indicators, adheres to quality assurance frameworks, and embodies core values.
