We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Carlisle team and make a meaningful contribution to the lives of our students. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated and supportive staff team, working to ensure that every student has access to the right resources, the right environment and the individualised support they need to thrive at college. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team in Carlisle, as well as within the wider Beaumont College and Salutem organisation. You will play a key role in enabling students to experience an engaging, personalised and successful educational journey, supporting them to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills for adulthood.
About The Role
- Term Time Only - Part time- 16 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of students with complex communication needs, including assessment, therapy delivery, and monitoring progress.
- Support student assessment, transition and placement processes to ensure effective communication provision.
- Deliver staff training on communication strategies and student-specific approaches.
- Promote best practice by supporting curriculum adaptation and evaluating communication environments.
- Maintain accurate records and meet professional standards, including CPD, supervision and appraisal.
- Work collaboratively across teams to support organisational priorities and strategic direction.
- Deliver high standards of service in line with the organisation’s quality framework.
- Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Principal.
