Compensation and Working Hours
Salary £12.71–£13.56 per hour (£22,674.64 - £24,137.52 pro rata salary; £26,436.80 – £28,204.80 FTE). Term time only. Contract: 40 hours per week. Standard hours 08:30 – 16:30. Additional shifts 7:00 – 15:30 or 12:00 – 21:00 for Acorns provision.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the school’s ethos.
- Deliver both group and individual educational programmes under the guidance of the team leader, supporting planning and preparation activities.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the principles of Conductive Education.
- Support the development and implementation of the overall programme for assigned student groups.
- Assist in setting and reviewing individual learning goals for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for designated students.
- Participate fully in all aspects of the students’ daily routine and activities.
- Provide high standards of physical care and emotional support, ensuring student wellbeing at all times.
- Uphold a safe, clean, and well‑organised physical environment, maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and presentation.
Additional Duties
- Take an active role in staff training and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective, professional relationships with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate seamlessly across teams and departments, contributing positively to the delivery of the school’s strategic objectives.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in customer service, consistently meeting the standards outlined in the school’s quality framework.
- Undertake any additional duties reasonably directed by the Principal.
- Support students with mobility and handle furniture or equipment when required.
Other Information
The post holder will support the school’s vision and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures. This job description will be reviewed periodically and may be updated as required. All appointments are subject to comprehensive pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check. All successful candidates will complete a minimum probationary period of six months.
