About The Role
This role is based within a residential care home, providing consistent support to residents in a safe and nurturing environment. The home operates on a round-the-clock basis, offering a range of shift patterns to ensure continuity of care at all times. This includes weekday, weekend, and overnight shifts, with staff working as part of a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality, enabling care, facing new challenges and rewards daily. Your leadership and expertise are key to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed, person-centred support plans that promote health, wellbeing, relationships, and diversity, while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Implement robust activity plans that encourage autonomy, new experiences, and flexibility, regularly engaging with individuals to seek their views.
- Support individuals in financial planning, medication self-administration, and regular health reviews, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act principles.
- Tailor the environment to meet individual needs, ensuring Health and Safety policies, including Fire Safety, are followed.
- Recruit and manage staff through robust induction, supervision, and training processes, ensuring person-centred schedules and personal development plans.
- Deliver outstanding care and support by adhering to Salutem's Quality Assurance framework, embodying core values, and managing incidents according to policies.
