Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational environments. Based in its own idyllic grounds, Ingfield Manor School offers extensive specialist facilities with the aim to provide an exceptional learning environment, helping children and young people fulfil their potential. Facilities include woodland and outdoor classroom space, high specification sensory room and swimming pool. Our IMS provision caters for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills. Our Woodview provision is for secondary aged students with special educational needs including speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).
About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join our growing school team. You’ll provide hands‑on technical support to staff and students, helping ensure our IT systems run smoothly and effectively.
- Hours: 20 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 1 week during holidays (40 weeks). As the school continues to expand, there may be opportunities for additional hours.
- Salary: £11,591 – £11,856 per annum (Equivalent to £12.71 – £13.00 per hour). This hourly rate will be available from 1st April 2026. Full‑time equivalent (52 weeks): £25,396 – £27,040. Salary dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day IT support to staff and students
- Install and configure PCs, laptops, printers, and a range of ICT devices
- Troubleshoot and repair IT hardware issues
- Install and support specialist communication software such as Mind Express and Clicker 8
- Configure new printers and manage access via the central Print Server
- Diagnose and resolve printing issues
- Set up and support audio‑visual equipment, including projectors and interactive whiteboards
- Troubleshoot issues with audio‑visual systems
- Support the smooth running of the school network, including routers, switches, cabling and wireless access points
- Maintain stock of printer consumables and other IT supplies
- Liaise with external suppliers and central IT support teams
- Undertake relevant training to support ongoing professional development
