About The Company

Our provision caters for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills. Ingfield Manor School has convenient road links and is a 10 minute drive from Horsham. There is a bus stop 10 minute walk from the school, a large car park for those travelling by car. As a key member of the team, you will actively participate in all aspects of the student’s day, helping to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that reflects the school’s ethos of conductive education.
Working Hours
Full-time: 40 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks plus holidays)
- 7:00am – 3:30pm
- 12:00pm – 9:00pm
- 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Part-time hours are available on a pro-rata basis.
Salary
£21,961 – £24,191 per annum (equivalent to £12.31 – £13.56 per hour)
Full-time equivalent (FTE) for 52 weeks: £25,605 – £28,205
Salary is dependent on experience.
About The Role
As a Student Support Worker, you will be supporting students in classroom environments, assisting in accessing the community, and participating in activities to help develop life skills together with assisting them with their personal care needs. You will contribute to creating a nurturing environment where students can lead fulfilling lives, free from fear, and in line with their needs and aspirations. You will be supporting their personal growth by assisting them in maintaining personal hygiene, maximizing their comfort, and fostering their abilities as well as minimising risks. You will promote and empower students to actively participate in college activities by providing support within college sessions and in the community at large. Effective communication serves as the cornerstone of our approach. By truly understanding the needs of our students, team members, and the organisation, you will ensure seamless implementation of an agreed care plan.
