Want to make a difference? Join Salutem in supporting people to live the life they love!

Salutem Care and Education have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational environments.
Individuals we support become part of a Salutem family, where they can be themselves, thrive, and love the life they live. We are immensely proud of the part we play in creating meaningful days and fulfilled lives for everyone at Salutem, and that includes those who work for us. The opportunities and prospects really are limitless, and that’s why you should consider becoming part of our family.

Lewis Martin Court is a residential care home with nursing for disabled adults who have a range of complex needs and learning difficulties. We also provide short breaks and transition support for young disabled people. There is a self-contained bungalow which is vibrant, stimulating and inspiring place to live, to enable learning and socialising.

At Salutem, we understand that providing our colleagues with a work life balance; to invest their freedom in what they love, benefits the care they give to the people using our services. That’s why we’re looking for a flexible person on-the-go, to take a rewarding opportunity to learn new skills. Shifts run on a rolling rota over a 7 day week.

Our Support Workers are the heroes of our workforce. They are the ones who overcome daily challenges to achieve amazing outcomes for the people we support. Each day will be different, and the main focus of your role is to enable those you support to have meaningful days, feeling empowered to live the life they love.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and enabling the service user to take as much control over their lives as possible. You will offer physical and emotional support, which may be in their home or the wider community.
  • Working as part of a team, you will help support disabled adults in their daily lives with activities, giving personal care and medication.
  • You will maintain appropriate written documentation for each person. You will also support each user with writing or creating their person-centred plans, so that they are meaningful and accessible to the individual, ensuring that the user is involved as much as possible.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of individuals, to colleagues and to yourself.

No experience is required, but you must be able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to make a difference to disabled people’s lives. A willingness to work towards a health and social qualification is necessary.
