About The Role

Key Responsibilities for Minibus Driver:
  • Drive a manual minibus to transport individuals to and from designated locations.
  • Assist with supporting individuals when not driving, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in outings and help facilitate a positive and engaging experience.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driving licence and be able to drive a manual minibus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people.
  • Compassionate and dedicated to supporting others.

We are looking for a driver for our minibus to support in picking up and dropping off as well as supporting on outings. You will also undertake some direct support with the individuals when not required to drive. Blue Cedars is a day centre supporting adults with a wide variety of learning disabilities, multiple physical disabilities, autism, and mild mental health needs within the Birmingham area. We support individuals to live the life they love and achieve all of their goals!

The individuals we support love going out for the day, visiting the sights nearby and taking a stroll round the local parks. We love shopping and spending time at the coffee shops talking to friends and family. We love playing games at Blue Cedars and getting messy with arts and crafts. We love listening to music, dancing, and throwing a party when an occasion arises!

  • Activity Planning: Develop flexible, engaging activity plans that promote autonomy and personal growth.

  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication and maintain detailed, person‑centered records.
  • Medication Management: Oversee medication processes and support individuals in self‑administration.
