The Sustainability, Energy and Water Management team combines specialised expertise with a dedicated technology platform to advance sustainability alongside the growth of the data centre sector and associated resource consumption.
Summer Internship will be during the months of July-September 2026.

Our Early Careers Framework is designed to provide a structured experience across a range of teams and services, helping you build capability, discover your strengths, and understand how engineering, data, and technology come together in practice.
Successful candidates join the team through a rotational framework, where you will gain experience across multiple capability groups and sub-teams over time. Rotations are shaped by:
- Your interests and strengths
- Project demand and business need
- Your development goals as the framework progresses
You may work across one or several teams during the program, building both depth and breadth as you develop.
Where You’ll Gain Experience: Within our Sustainability, Energy & Water Management team, we have 3 core functional groups; Data, Building Performance & Compliance, & Strategy.
Data: Deliver unified data and analytics services. You may be involved in:
- Supporting systems integration across DCIM, CMMS, metering, and telemetry platforms
- Cleaning, structuring, and validating operational energy, water, and carbon data
- Developing and maintaining KPIs and automated reporting
- Supporting portfolio-level performance dashboards and analytics
- Assisting with statistical analysis, forecasting, and early-stage machine learning use cases
- Translating technical data into clear insights for clients and internal teams
Building Performance & Compliance: Deliver end-to-end optimisation packages, optimising performance, delivering technology-enabled upgrades, and ensuring regulatory and ESG performance compliance for client’s assets. Typical work may include:
- Supporting energy, sustainability audits and decarbonisation roadmaps
- Developing schemes and designs and taking through to hands on project management support
- Assisting with commissioning, witnessing, and performance verification activities
- Supporting carbon accounting and ESG reporting for investors, lenders and customers
- Preparing data and documentation for audits and assurance processes
- Supporting certification and standards processes such as BREEAM, LEED & ISO 50001
Strategy: Gain exposure to executive-level sustainability and ESG work. Supporting strategy through execution and capability building. You may work on:
- Portfolio-wide performance and compliance programs
- Research and analysis to support the development of ESG strategies
- Double materiality assessments
- ESG target setting and KPI development for data centre portfolios
- Compliance tracking across multiple assets
- Operational excellence initiatives and performance improvement programs
- Developing ESG and operational training materials
- Supporting delivery of workshops and training sessions
Who This Is For: We welcome Expressions of Interest from graduates or early career professionals with degrees or backgrounds in:
- Engineering (mechanical, electrical, energy, environmental)
- Data, analytics, computer science, or information systems
- Sustainability, climate science, or ESG-related fields
- Science, mathematics, or technical disciplines
- Business, strategy, or related fields with strong analytical capability
Direct data centre experience is not required. We value curiosity, strong fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn.
