Keysource, a Salute company, is a global leader in delivering data centre and digital infrastructure solutions. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Critical Facilities Engineer (cooling) to support the delivery of best-in-class service across our global portfolio of 180+ data centre and critical environment contracts. Our Operational Services team provides full lifecycle support for critical assets - from planned and preventative maintenance to 24/7 emergency response, helpdesk and remote monitoring.

In this field-based role, you will act as the subject matter expert for critical cooling systems, ensuring the highest standards of operational performance and uptime. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, manage vendors, and provide expert technical support across chilled water, DX, CRAC, and chiller systems in live data centre environments. This is a mobile role covering the North of England with participation in a 1 in 3 on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the go-to cooling subject matter expert for both client and internal teams across assigned sites.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and system modifications on all critical cooling equipment.
  • Supervise operational and maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery against SLAs.
  • Lead vendor coordination, technical governance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the sales team with technical input for new opportunities and contract expansions.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency response as required.
  • Other duties, as may be required by Management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and commissioning (Chilled Water, DX, CRACs, Chillers, Split DX units).
  • Proven track record in a mobile or field-based engineering role within critical/data centre environments.
  • Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) certification.
  • F-Gas certification (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence.
