Key responsibilities:

  • Operate demonstration-scale lithium extraction and refining systems as part of day-to-day plant operations, with training provided.
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and proactively identify and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Collect, record, and organize process data, including basic wet-lab testing and interpretation to support plant performance.
  • Learn and apply an understanding of Saltworks' processes and plant equipment to support stable and efficient operation.
  • Build practical knowledge in water chemistry, treatment processes, and lithium refining through on-the-job training and guidance from Saltworks' experts.
  • Assist with completing shift logs, reports, and feedback on process performance, equipment behavior, and potential improvements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and equipment checks, escalating complex issues to tradespeople or technical staff as required.
  • Support troubleshooting activities by working with documentation, drawings, and basic troubleshooting practices.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • A diploma, certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience in a technical or industrial field (e.g., process technology, mechanical, chemical, or operations), with 1 – 3 years of industrial experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A strong safety mindset and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment.
  • Hands-on experience using industrial tools and instruments.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • The ability to learn quickly and maintain a high standard for quality and reliability.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
