We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual with business analyst experience to be a senior contributor to the Analysis function within our Programmatic Advice & Suitability (PAS) Team, a team our CEO proudly calls Saltus’ “secret sauce”! This team forms a vital part of our M&A Integration process and specialises in facilitating the vertical integration of acquired firms by running large projects to recommend clients move their investments to our award-winning investment solution.

Our mission is to improve everyone’s relationship with their wealth: to make it a positive force for their future and at the same time to prevent it being a source of anxiety. We want everyone who works at Saltus to be proud to work here, and to find fulfilment and meaning in the work that they do.

Saltus is seeking a Senior Analyst to work within our PAS Team based in London, working as a leader and key contributor within our talented analysts who deliver our programmatic advice campaigns. You’ll be joining one of the most dynamic and strategically important teams in the business, supporting our firm’s focus on M&A as we seek to take advantage of unprecedented consolidation in the wealth management industry.

You’ll have a wide range of responsibilities, including the following:

  • Leading centralised replatforming projects for wealth management businesses we acquire around the UK, including travelling to these firms on a regular basis to build strong relationships with their teams while acting as an ambassador and point of contact for Saltus.
  • Line managing other analysts in the team who will be supporting on your projects as well as potentially running their own, mentoring and developing them to support their progression.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the Analysis function within the PAS team to ensure we can deliver our projects to a high-standard and on-time.
  • Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new analysts joining the team, ensuring we continue to bring the best talent into the team.
  • Contributing to the leadership of the PAS Team and working on strategic initiatives to enhance our productivity, the robustness of our processes and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with various internal teams to gather, verify, and analyse client data from acquired firms. Ensuring data accuracy and completeness to facilitate informed decision-making and triage of acquired clients into our programmatic replatforming campaigns.
  • Modelling 'before' and 'after' cost comparisons for transferring clients, using quantitative skills to analyse large, complex data sets and build comprehensive data models.
  • Utilising our specialist in-house technology to generate and send high-quality clients reports recommending transfers to the Saltus Platform, always putting yourself in clients’ shoes to ensure they have the best experience possible.
  • Supporting advisers on a daily basis with client-related queries and using your energy and expertise to drive forward the campaigns.
  • Finding solutions for often complex business problems using problem-solving skills and subject-matter expertise to find the best outcomes.

We think that the best candidate for this role will have:

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Financial Services.
  • A holder of a minimum of a 6 (or B) in Mathematics at GCSE or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor and develop team members.
  • Experience managing complex projects, with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail when working with large datasets.
  • A technology native who has applied experience with Microsoft Excel but who is comfortable applying that knowledge to other systems. Some experience of coding will be advantageous.
  • Someone with intellectual horsepower who is able to understand new concepts and processes quickly and has an innate curiosity for solving business problems.
  • Someone with a ‘growth mindset’, i.e. an appetite for testing yourself and using past mistakes as a springboard to keep improving.
  • An excellent communicator who is also down to earth and can work well in a team.
  • An influencer with the ability to work with business stakeholders at all organisational levels, able to advocate for themselves as well as the team under pressure.
  • The ability to form successful professional relationships both internally and externally.

We’re incredibly flexible about where, when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for. Ideally, you’d be able to be based out of our London office for two or three days each week, working the remainder of the week from home. Alternatively, you might work part of your working week from one of our other offices.
