We are looking for an IFA Relationship Manager / Product Specialist to join our Saltus Asset Management (SAM) team. The role will likely report into the MD of Saltus Asset Management.
Our mission is to improve everyone’s relationship with their wealth: to make it a positive force for their future and at the same time to prevent it being a source of anxiety. We want everyone who works at Saltus to be proud to work here, and to find fulfilment and meaning in the work that they do. We are incredibly proud of our culture and work really hard to ensure that Saltus is a great place to work for our people, where they can have fun and grow in their career, with a passion for excellence and customer service.
Saltus is a privately owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions. Today Saltus manages and advises on over £10.5 billion of client assets.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Helping Saltus think strategically about our MPS / fund solutions for intermediated clients.
- Representing Saltus Asset Management (SAM) to the financial planning businesses who use SAM as DFM/MPS manager.
- Understanding the Saltus house views and conveying them to financial planners, and on occasion directly to their clients.
- Understanding the investment portfolios we run for clients of financial planners, and talking confidently about them – their objectives, risk parameters, underlying holdings, decisions made, Platform availability etc.
- Hosting market updates online and in person as required.
- Understanding the IFA landscape and delivering presentations, insights, and updates consistent with industry best practice.
- Working with the marketing team to produce collateral for an IFA audience, e.g. quarterly updates, brochures etc.
- Delivering training on the SAM Centralised Investment Proposition to financial planning businesses Saltus have acquired.
- Attending initial meetings and client reviews with larger DFM/MPS clients, with the financial planner.
The successful candidate will be confident talking about financial markets and Saltus investment products to Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). They will:
- Likely have at least ten years of experience in the industry.
- Have completed relevant industry exams such as the CFA, or PCIAM.
- Have clearly demonstrated an ability to manage IFA relationships and generate strong sales numbers.
- Be an effective communicator regarding financial markets and investment products (e.g. DFM solutions such as funds/MPS), both orally and in writing.
- Be organised.
- Be a team player.
- Be willing to work in London as required for the role (to be agreed with the MD).
We are looking for someone to be based out of our London office as required for the role. We’re incredibly flexible about when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for.
The salary/drawings are between £115,000-125,000 (depending on experience), with 20% cash discretionary bonus. Alongside 28 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), life assurance and income protection. The role is 40 hours per week between the hours of 8.30-5.30pm.
