Saltus is a privately owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high standard support to advisers within the financial services team, ensuring compliance procedures and internal systems and processes are followed.
- Developing on an ongoing basis with training and support from your line manager, with a view to progressing to a Level 4/6 qualification.
- Maintaining client confidentiality, data protection and other legislative and organisational responsibilities.
- Being flexible and tackling a variety of tasks on behalf of the team.
- Undertaking Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to meet regulatory requirements, both internally and externally.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the financial industry to deliver confident writing at multiple levels.
- Ensuring all data and analysis are accurate.
- Being familiar with financial regulations and ensuring reports comply with these standards.
- Producing financial reports in a timely manner, requiring efficient time management.
- Assisting the Pension Switch Team as needed.
- Ensuring the adviser has sufficient know your client information recorded within the back-office system, including fact find, objectives and rationale, attitude to risk, investment objectives and existing plan information.
- Conducting provider and fund research as required, including risk scoring existing and proposed investments, past performance and charges information (using Dynamic Planner & FE Analytics).
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience working in the Financial Services sector.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Report Writing/Trainee Paraplanning role.
- Experience of Financial Services back office systems.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Ability to provide high quality work, spotting and rectifying errors to layout, format, spelling and grammar as appropriate.
- Good planning, organisation and time management.
- A positive can-do attitude and a strong desire to deliver high quality results.
We are looking for someone to be based from our Truro office 5 days a week, and the core office hours are 09.00 – 17.00. We’re incredibly flexible about when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for. The salary is £30-35,000 depending on experience working 35 hours per week, alongside 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), life assurance and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform.
