The Role and Responsibilities

This is a varied role designed to give exposure to multiple areas of finance and help you develop into a qualified accounting professional.

You’llbe supported by experienced colleagues and will:

• Assistwith monthend processes.
• Support with income reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assistwith project work, including revenuerelated initiatives and process improvements.
• Provide transactional support across Finance, including assisting with the redress process whererequired.
• Develop knowledge of the organisation’s finance systems and processes, becoming proficient in new tools and ways of working.
• Support the Finance team with day-to-day activities across a range of finance functions.

No two days are the same, andyou’llhave the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities as your experience grows.

We’remore interested in your potential than your experience.

You’lllikely be:

• Degree educated (or due to graduate this year), ideally in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting,Engineeringor a related subject
• Have achieved an A or A* in A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent qualification)
• Demonstrate a strong academictrack recordthroughout your education
• Have an ability to build strong working relationships
• Naturally analytical, with the ability to interpret data,identifytrends and solve problems
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producingaccuratework
• Curious,proactiveand eager to learn
• A confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the business
• Motivated to study towards a professional qualification such as ACA,ACCAor CIMA
• Excited by the opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing business
• Previousexperience gained through an internship, placement year, part-timeroleor work experience programme
• Advanced Excel skills or an interest in data analysis
• Experience working with large datasets
• An understanding of basic accounting principles
• An interest in financial services, wealthmanagementor investments

Where will I be working?

We are looking for someone for our Whiteley office, and offer hybrid working, currently 3 days in the office, with theremainderat home.We’reincredibly flexible about when and how you work: wedon’twant anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltusas a result ofthe working pattern thatthey’relooking for . The salary is between £28,000-£32,000pa depending on experience. Alongside a competitive salary, we offer full professional study support towards ACA,ACCAor CIMA,providingan excellent opportunity to build alongtermcareer within our Finance team.
