Job Description

The Marketing Manager leads the planning and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns and projects that strengthen Saltrock’s brand presence, drive customer engagement and achieve commercial success. You’ll be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, profiling Saltrock’s customers for better targeting and engaging with them, leading and delivering acquisition and retention plans, and building ambassador and charity relationships, You’ll be responsible for managing a direct report, working closely with Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale, Merchandising and Buying Teams.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  • Working closely with the Head of Brand & Marketing to drive the activation of the strategy, through innovative and engaging multi-channel campaigns.
  • Contribute to the planning of seasonal campaigns, guiding on content strategy, customer profiling, tone of voice whilst ensuring channel KPI’s are met, and assets are delivered on-time.
  • Create a cross-channel campaign plan and critical path that includes key milestones, highlighting any potential barriers that may jeopardise the campaign/project\’s delivery and success, solving problems, taking action, and driving clear communication using RACI.
  • Collaborate with retail teams to create and deliver in-store campaigns that drive footfall and reflect brand values.
  • Evaluate and measure campaign performance, reporting regularly and using insights for future projects and campaigns.

COPYWRITING AND TONE OF VOICE

  • Develop content strategies that promote and amplify authenticity for products and brand across multi-channel campaigns.
  • Write compelling copy and key messaging for campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling for short, medium, and long-form content across multiple B2C and B2B channels, including but not limited to: Website, Social, Wholesale, and Retail.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Social content strategy, supporting the marketing assistant to showcase campaigns and brand lifestyle through product, UGC and EGC stories and visuals.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer to ensure copy aligns with visual assets across all customer touchpoints.
  • Support the Head of Brand Marketing by maintaining the tone of voice across all customer touchpoints.

SOCIAL MEDIA, PARTNERSHIPS AND AMBASSADORS

  • Support the Brand Marketing Executive in the execution of the social media and UGC strategy.
  • Lead on management and future direction of Saltrock’s partnerships and Ambassador strategy ensuring all partnerships meet KPIs on brand alignment, brand elevation, mutual benefit, new customer acquisition and value for money.
  • Develop mutually beneficial co-branded campaigns and deliverables, building a content plan, working with Social and Graphic Design teams to develop communication and campaign assets to plan.
  • Work closely with Retail and Ecom teams to deliver community-led activation and store team engagement.

RETAIL MARKETING PROJECTS AND CAMPAIGNS

  • Collaborate with Retail Teams to create and deliver in-store campaigns that drive footfall, engagement and consideration.
  • Develop and deliver the retail marketing plan that supports the Retail strategy and delivers against the KPI’s.
  • Work with the Outlet Centre Marketing Teams to capitalise on driving brand awareness, activation and promotion of seasonal collections.

CUSTOMER

  • Develop and manage retention campaigns that nurture loyalty, drive repeat purchases and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Lead Saltrock’s approach to personalisation and customer segmentation, working with Ecom and Retail on targeted campaigns that deliver against objectives.
  • Leverage and use customer profiles to understand the relationship between store and online shopping behaviour and how best to increase customer lifetime value.
  • Deepen customer profiles (personas) for each channel: Retail, Online and Wholesale to understand psychological behaviours: what they care about, how they shop and engage with us and why they choose us or don’t.
  • Use profiles to tailor messaging, visuals and campaigns to specific segments using the relevant channels for each audience.
  • Align copy and tone of voice, content types and topics that resonate with each.

MEASURING PERFORMANCE

  • Understand the importance of data and establishing reporting methods to analyse the performance of campaigns and projects.
  • Using sales data, Google Analytics GA4, Ometria, Meta, Later.com and Instagram and Facebook Insights, to measure, report and make actionable recommendations.
  • Upwards influencing the Head of Brand Marketing to support the brand strategy.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Lead and drive marketing projects from brief through to execution and review, using project management tools for effective project management.
  • Develop and manage campaign calendars across multiple channels to ensure alignment with product launches, seasonal peaks, and brand campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timelines and budgets, and deliverables are met

BEHAVIOURS

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of our target audience to create campaigns that resonate with our customer base and drive engagement.
  • Able to develop strong cross-functional relationships, recognising the dependencies across different functions to drive campaign success.
  • Manage a direct report, leading, motivating and supporting while reviewing and setting role objectives and priorities.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage their own workload and that of others.
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Keeps own product knowledge up to date to help shape brand communications.

Requirements And Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in Marketing Manager roles
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills with good knowledge of excel and the reading of data.
  • Good understanding of customer data management principles
  • Good general knowledge of ecommerce platforms Shopify, GA4, Adobe Analytics.
  • Good working knowledge of social media platforms – Meta (Facebook and Instagram, LinkedIn plus other channels not widely used in the business – Tik Tok, YouTube, Pinterest.
